Just My Impression Studio
About
I own a priviate in-home yoga studio. It will accomodiate up to 6 students, but I can also do private lessons. I graudated from YTT in the spring of 2017 and I am passionate about helping people discover the joy of yoga and how it can improve your mental and physical well being. I am also an avid equestrian and Yoga carries over into my riding, improving my focus when on my horse and also adding strength and balance. It can do that for so many of the activities of daily life.
I enjoy teaching yoga because I love to see people grow to know themselves better. Yoga connects you to your body, your mind and your breath. Learning to control our breath is our finest tool to control all aspects of our life. If we learn that the mind is the master of our senses, but ultimatly learn that the breath is the master of the mind, we can meet so much of life with a peaceful ease and control. It is a joy to help people discover this key to a peaceful life.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Your practice is your own. We will talk about your needs and goals and we will build a practice from there, modifying and varying your practice as we go.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
YTT Journey Graduate. Hatha-Vinyasa teacher training. Successfully completed over 200 hours of study in the technique, teaching methodology, philosophy, anatomy & physiology, lifestyle & ethics, as well as the practice of teaching yoga in accordance with the requirements of Yoga Alliance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not charge for lessons. I take donations, but that is not necessary.
How did you get started teaching?
I am a long time yogi and was approached by one of my instructors who suggested that I become an instructor. I had never thought of becoming a teacher, but I thought that it may improve my own practice to take such in-depth training so I signed up. I discovered that I really liked teaching and although I never wanted to teach in a large public venue, I love the intimacy of my private in home studio.
What types of students have you worked with?
Advanced to beginner. I can match the practice to the individual student.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Just attended a retreat in Myrtle Beach with some of my fellow instructors. It was a great experience.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone willing to take their time and adjust your practice to you personally. An instructor that can teach you the poses and the modifications and variations of the pose. Yoga can be for everyone if it is taught correctly.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
If you have any physical limitations because of injury or otherwise, you should consult your doctor before doing any kind of strenuous physical activity just to be on the safe side. We want no injuries or pain associated with your yoga practice.
