Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu NC/JJMA
About
We are the longest running Jiu-Jitsu school in Stanley County. We have been teaching and operating a school since 1998 which means we have an enormous amount of experience teaching students of all ages. We are an official association under Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Grandmaster, Relson Gracie. We provide self defense training for the entire family. We have classes 5 days a week with options for children, teen and adults. Come learn the most effective self defense training techniques with Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
What I enjoy the most is the way in which learning Jiu-Jitsu can transform an individual. This transformation will occur physically as well as mentally. You will get in better shape physically as well as gain confidenct mentally knowing that you can defend yourself.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Black Belt in Jukido Jiu-Jitsu and over 25 years teaching martial arts and Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. My academic in Albemarle, NC has been open for over 20 years. That gives our academy a tremendous amount of experience teaching students of all ages. We have classes for adults, teens and children between the ages 5-10 years of age.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing will depend on how often students want to train but the vast majority of students pay less than $70 per month.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and have classes for children, teenagers and adults.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say participate in their trial classes first. Most reputable school will have 1 free class to several classes for free. This will give the student an opportunity to see if classes are a good fit for them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Just to inform the academy and instructors their goals in training so that the academies can guide them in the type of training that would suit them best.
