About
Yoga is the user manual for your body and I teach how to apply the wisdom from that manual. In small group and private class experiences, I can tailor practices to your goals and resources. I specialize in introducing beginners to the practices that will have the greatest transfomative effect your your life. Additionally, I help established yoga people to focus on the practices most powerful for your goals and resources. Your resources include your physical condition and needs as well as time and space for practice. Let's talk about how I can help you to your next level of transformation with practices from the yoga tradition that include physical posture, breathing, focus and concentration. I am an E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance) as well as YACEP (Yoga Alliance CE Provider) with a B.A. in Philosophy and Ancient Greek and a formerly Nationally Registered Paramedic and Instructor. Having taught yoga for more than 10 years, I apply my knowledge from both yoga and western medicine through the lens of broad experience for the most effective program for my clients.
Having a front row seat for the most meaningful transformations in the world! Seeing a woman whose leg has been changed from childhood polio balance on that leg for the first time she remembers takes my breath away. Seeing the insight dawn on a man's face when he figures out how to engage that muscle he's been trying to figure out for a week brings joy to my heart. So many lightbulbs, so many revolutions and breakthroughs.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It depends whether they're starting with private or small group classes. Both start with a thourough get to know you check in and form and the first consult or small group class is free.
For initial private consultations, we spend about 75% of the time often discussing needs, wants and hows and then get to the mat or chair. This allows me to completely tailor future sessions so they can be all movement, breath or meditation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Having taught Anatomy and other classes for Paramedics, as a paramedic for most of two decades, I have an intimate understanding of how bodies work. Additionally I do ongoing training in the latest insights of fascial research, teaching methodology and of course my personal practice is always evolving.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Payments taken online only, none taken in person - this keeps me and all my teachers safer as no currency is on premises or needs to be transported. Thank you for understanding.
