I Have been teaching all forms of yoga for 25 years including Basic Beginner Hatha , flowing Vinyasa, Prenatal , postpartum and mommy and me. I have experience with students of all ages , levels and body types .my classes are medium paced , relaxing , breath centered with an emphasis on alignment and gentle flow. I can come to you or provide a studio space. I teach weekly group classes and private lessons at sliding scale prices .
I grew up in a family of yoga practitioners and have been practicing yoga since I was a child. I love working with people , helping to guide them with yoga so they can develop strength , flexibility , grace and develop tools they need to calm and quiet the mind.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I approach it on a very individual basis. Assessing the way they move , alignment , breath and the reasons for coming to the yoga mat. For some it is a need to restore and relax and for others there are more physical reasons but I strive to integrate and build a lesson that is both invigorating and restorative
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been practicing yoga sibfe I was a child and have over 25 years of experience instructing students of all levels and body types. I am certified through Sivananda Vendanta Center since 1997 and also have a certification through Leslie Kaminoff at the breathing prospect. I have expertise and a certification in prenatal yoga through Janice Clarfeild since 2004 and mommy -baby yoga through Om baby since 2005. I am also a birth and postpartum Doula certified through DONA international and an aspiring birth educator through CEA-MNY .i Have experience teaching yoga in rehabilitation centers and nursing homes ) chair yoga ) and kids yoga.
