About

My yoga journey began as a teen in 2007 while seeking alternative therapies to improve my physical and mental health. After casting around for a year, during which time learning yoga was still on the fringe in China, I was blessed to find my first yoga teacher, Guru Puttalingapa Suresh, who is from Mysore, India. Little did I know that within a year of solid training with him, I would observed miracle transformations which created a desire to go deeper. I knew that there is much more to yoga than just physical practice, wherefore I launched into exploring the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and embracing the philosophy into all aspects of my life. The will to live, pursue, and share yoga was born. I started to aware of exactly what yoga was and the vast benefits that yoga reflects on all aspects of my life.

Later in 2009, through Guru Suresh’s belief in me, I felt courageous enough to travel alone to India to drink from the fountain of yoga. I was invited to study with Dr. Ganesh Kuma at the Vivekananda Yoga Education & Research Center in Mysore, Karnataka. After a month of diligent study, I earned my first state recognised certification as the first Chinese disciple. This experience satisfied my craving to understand even just a fraction of the infinite mystery of yoga and compelled me to learn more. I returned to India in 2011, this time to the city of the Divine, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. After exploring locally for a month, I started my first 200 hours teacher training at the largest Ashram in Rishikesh, Parmarth Niketan, which is a true spiritual heaven, lying on the holy banks of mother Ganga in the lap of the lush Himalayas. During the training, as the only Chinese, I started bonding with other yogis and yoginis from diverse cultures, who shared similar values in life. As we practiced our yoga, our sensitivity to everything in the world around us increased: to our awareness of ourselves, to the food that nourished our bodies, to the environment that influenced us, and to the ability to love ourselves in the yogic way.

Since moving to the USA in 2016, I have gone on to study in depth in Pranayama and meditation at Kripalu School of Yoga, where I received my 500 hours Kripalu yoga certificate after 2 years of endeavor. With 10 years of continuous practice, I gradually build the ladder to embark on my ashtanga yoga journey. I trained with world reowned ashtanga masters (David Swenson, Tim Feldman, Kino Macgregor, Manju Jois, and Richard Freeman) for over 1000 hours, which has enabled me to acquire a greater sense of awareness and I realized my life was changing for the better. This is when, the seed for a career as a yoga teacher was planted.Wi more than 3000 hours of professional training of
