We offer classes in samurai martial arts and modern jujutsu.
Samurai Arts: (kenjutsu / iaijutsu-sword, tantojutsu-knife, jojutsu-staff and kobudo-weapons).
Modern Jujutsu: (Jujitsu, Military Combatives, Sambo, Muay Thai, US Marine Corps close quarters combat, bare knuckle boxing, tactical knife and Viking / Iroquois tomahawk).
Our samurai arts use the ancient combat training of samurai principals, techniques and strategy of the sword and applies them to Jujitsu. Modern jujutsu begins with Military Combatives at the entry level and blends in Jujitsu with elements of Muay tai, sambo and bare knuckle boxing for self-protection and warrior mind set. Our classes offer a safe place to learn self protection, discipline, exercise and having fun.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students are offered free trial class and welcomed to a friendly and safe training environment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a martial artist of 23 years and teacher for 13 years, former US Marine, Iraq veteran and diplomatic police officer I have come to appreciate the need to have a well rounded dicipline that obtains swife and effecetive results. I am happy to pass on the lessons that I have been fortunate enough to recieve.

How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching hand to hand combat in the Marine Corps and then after as a civilian combining my military and martail arts experience.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of various ages and some with dissabilities. Many veterans, law enforcement, samurai enthusiast, MMA fighters and other martial artist seeking to augment their training and people into fitness and wellness will find that we have much to offer with our precise and detailed training.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We attended the New York State University well ness fare and provided a demonstration on how the principals of sword training connects to obtaining a strong advantage over stronger and bigger opponents.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I recommend a potential student research various arts to find what interest them. Sport, self-defense, fitness and internal energy studies are different areas different styles focus on. Study the backround of the teacher and their system to discover the full nature of that system.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Does this art fufill what I am looking for in training (Self-defense, fitness, sport ect)?
