About

I offer one-on-one and/or small group classes, which allows me to give more individual attention to each student. This means (theoretically) they should be able to advance faster.

Steve certainly knows his stuff after training in Wing Chun since 1995. He is patient with new students and provides individual attention to make sure theyre doing things right. He also provides scenarios in which Wing Chun can be used as effective self-defense. He shows that a student doesnt need to be a high-level athlete to learn Wing Chun skills.

Mr. Grogan was a great instructor. He took special care to show you the small details in training so you can learn a smooth execution of this techniques. He also has a vast knowledge of the art to share with his students.

    Frequently asked questions

I ask them if they have any martial arts experience. If they do, then I ask why they are looking to learn Wing Chun instead of staying with their previous style. If they don't, then I ask what they hope to get out of training with me.

I have been studying Wing Chun since 1995.

Group lessons are $100 per month, due on the first lesson of the month. Private lessons are $60 per hour.  There are discounts available, but ONLY for group lessons.

My Sifu said I had permission to teach, so I began by offering a course at Hudson Valley Community College.

I have worked with men and women. Their ages have ranged from early twenties to mid-sixties. Some have had prior martial arts experience; others were total beginners.

The 3-session Hudson Valley Community Education course is always a blast.

Pay attention to your gut feeling. If you don't think a teacher will be a good fit for you, don't start going there.

Why do I really want to do this?

Will I be able to commit?
