About
Shobu Aikido Houston, founded in 1990, offers a unique opportunity to learn Aikido, a traditional Japanese martial art, in the heart of Houston and its surrounding areas. Trainees can develop self-defense techniques, self-control, and balance in an original Japanese dojo. Shobu Aikido, meaning "wisdom" and "warrior saint", embodies a harmonious unification of personal and universal energy. This martial art promotes self-reflection, self-knowledge, a balanced body, a centered mind, and compassion, working towards the ultimate victory - victory over oneself.
