Gini Bellawala, Holistic Fitness Coach

Gini has been coaching fitness for over 25 years, mostly at community gyms like the YMCA. As a Certified Personal Trainer, 200hr Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher and Group Exercise Instructor, she brings a blend of body-mind awareness and strength to all her formats. She works with clients from the inside out, emphasizing the importance of using the deeper, smaller, stabilizing muscles of the body before progressing to heavier loads. Clients learn to access their breathing to both activate the core and calm the mind. Formats she is trained in include Ashtanga Yoga, Flow Yoga, Body Sculpting, Les Mills Body Pump, Les Mills Body Flow, Foam Rolling, Stretching, Dance, TRX, Step Aerobics, Floor Aerobics and Circuit Training/Boot Camp.

Gini also helps clients explore their lifestyle habits beyond the gym such as sleep, nutrition and relationships to help guide them to resources for their holistic, long-term, well-being. She has a passion for connecting with people and learning new things. She speaks English and Spanish and has lived and travelled in many parts of the world. She has a BA in International Relations and Spanish from UC Davis and enjoys reunions with friends, Travelling with her family, dancing, gardening, volunteering, and baking sourdough bread.

Gini's emphasis is on the "atomic" level of fitness - the smaller inner workings that support the body and mind including proper form, breathework, core/posture, holistic healthy living and FUN!

I love seeing clients have an "Ah-ha" moment when they feel the part of the body they are trying to stretch or strengthen. The pure joy of having exerted themselves and then finding relief, knowing they can achieve their fitness goals and feel better in their body and mind.

First, I ask if you are cleared by a doctor to exercise especially as related to any know heart conditions.  Then, the fun part! I want to know about YOU and how you relate to your body. Injuries, sports youve played, Kids you have, goals and dreams. Then we get started with a few basic assessments of posture, strength and flexibility. 

Certified by ACE for Personal Training and Group Exercise. Certified by Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level. Over 25 years teaching strength training, dance, cardio, step, body sculpt, and yoga.
