*1 on 1 yoga for beginners*
Do you want to start yoga but felt too intimidated to join a class? Do you learn better in a 1 on 1 setting? Are you just beginning and feel like you need some extra support?
Hi I am Makiko! I am happy to help you to start yoga practice!!
I will come to your home or the place of your choosing (in Los Gatos or within 10 miles). We will start with basic postures in a gentle manner that matches your level and physical ability. Instruction is available in English or Japanese. (Female or a couple only)
Depending on your needs, I will apply/customize esesntial oils for you (if desired).
My passion for yoga is toward integrating ancient yoga wisdom into daily life. I love to share my love of yoga with youths and adults and in international settings. I am happy to see students find a relief from physical pain as well as mental challenges.
I simply love my private sessions with Makiko. She is an expert and prepares the sessions really well based upon my personal needs. She is able to listen and translate my needs into very good yoga exercises. I truly felt great afterwards!
Instruction is offered to female or a couple.
I will communicate with you before the first class to understand what you would like to address, including any physical or emotional challenges you are facing. It can simply be a posture that you would like to learn.
Completed Yoga Alliance teacher training certification (200hr) through Lila Yoga with her teacher, Shinsuke Nyui in Tokyo in 2015. Also completed Yin Yoga immersion with Misako Matsuoka in Feb 2018 in Los Gatos, CA.
1 person (one-on-one with instructor) $60/1hr, weekday mornings
2 people (2 female or couple) $80/1hr, weekday mornings
Appointment to be made (3) days prior to the class. After the class, I will send you a note & points of the lesson so it helps you to practice on your own.
2015- I started teaching yoga in Tokyo
2016- Started teaching group lessons in San Jose area
2017- Stareted teaching private sessions. Also started teaching kids.
I have worked with adults of beginner to intermediate level and with children (preschool to primary school).
