I believe that yoga is for EVERY BODY. No matter your condition, there are poses and modifications for poses to help you access more ease in your body and mind. I don’t take myself too seriously, and encourage my students to take a light harted approach to the practice. Yoga is good for you, and it’s fun too!
For private sessions: At our first session we’ll meet to discuss your goals and intentions in practicing yoga, your experience with yoga and what you think might stand in the way of a regular practice. If there’s time, we’ll have a short practice as well. For our subsequent meetings, I will plan classes personally designed for your goals and intentions, as discussed in our first meeting. Each meeting I encourage you to share with me what your experience was like. If there have been any shifts in your intentions, let me know so I can plan future classes to fit with your goals.
For private events & Corporate Yoga: You let me know what kind of class you’d like for your group (energizing, relaxing, healing, pranayama, meditation, music, no music etc) and I will plan accordingly. I can come to you, or we can schedule time at a local studio! If you’d like to book an event at a local studio, there is an additional fee for studio rental ($30-$80 depending on the studio), and I suggest planning at least 3 weeks in advance to ensure we get the studio space, and I’m not booked:)
I absolutely love teaching yoga! It has been a huge part of my life since 2001 and I’ve been teaching since 2008. I received my first certificate in alignment based yoga in 2009, and have since completed several other yoga certifications in Yin, Vinyasa, and Trauma Informed Yoga Nidra. I have learned so much about myself and the world around me through my practice. It has opened my mind, heart, and shifted my perspective. No matter how long I have been practicing, there is always something else to learn. I think that’s one of the things that has kept me hooked for so long. A deeper understanding of SOMETHING always follows every practice. I really enjoy sharing with my students the inspiration yoga has given my life. It is like the light that never goes out... always there, regardless of what is happening in our life. If you have a body, even if it’s wounded, even if your heart is aching, there is a yoga practice that can shift your state of mind from focusing on the impossibilities to the possibilities. My hope is that every student who’s path crosses mine is able to live a happier, more fulfilling life through the practice. I have had many of my students go on to become teachers themselves, and it is one of the most beautiful parts of being a teacher: seeing students fall in love with the practice and what it does for their lives. Yoga shifts your perspective, and inherently changes the direction of your life, giving you roots and wings!
Casey is the best yoga teacher I’ve ever had! She eases you into poses and makes sure your thinking about your tiny inner movements to keep you in alignment and safe from injury. All that wonderful guidance and knowledge is presented in humor and I have found myself giggling throughout every class. My mother and I are very different fitness levels and we equally enjoy her classes. She is such a warm, bubbly person I can’t recommend her classes enough!
Casey is my favorite yoga teacher I’ve ever had. She was my teacher when I initially started practicing yoga. I’ve had teachers that have made me feel like I should be able to do something that my body was not yet capable of, but Casey always made every pose so accessible. She gives you options for how to modify the pose, while also coming around to physically help you into the correct position, without it being too much too fast. She has such a cheerful, friendly, and open personality and is wonderful at making everyone feel welcome. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Casey as a yoga instructor.
Working with Casey Silva!! One of my most favorite teachers. An old soul with a plethora of knowledge, and wisdom , that I aspire to.
We’ll chat over the phone, set up a time to meet somewhere publically and go over Intentions & goals and set up all the details. Once we’ve arranged our meeting place, times, dates, and fee, payment will be due at time of service for each class, unless otherwise arranged.
