About

Daughter. Sister. Friend.

Im also loving life and living yoga; traveling for teaching, training or retreats provides the opportunity to connect and experience so many people and places.

Yoga has weaved in and out of my life for over 20 years. My first Yoga class was Bikram! Although my personal practice has changed to a Vinyasa or Moon Flow, I am living my passion for teaching Restorative Yoga as well as Yin yoga and Meditation. Pursuing the path of accessibility of Yoga for everyone by sharing knowledge with students about the other limbs of yoga; not just asana. The mind will always be stronger than the body :)

After completing my 200 hour YTT with Edna Barr and Emily Galvin in May 2016 I knew I wanted to teach Yin yoga instead of Yang yoga. I started teaching public Restorative yoga and Yin Yoga classes at several local yoga studios. This is where I realized I am teaching what almost everyone in the Bay Area needs most: rest, stillness and breath.

With a further exploration and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, in 2017 and 2018 I completed two Yin Intensive trainings in Point Reyes with Debbie Dailey. In March 2017 and August 2017 I assisted with two YTT 200 hour trainings in Oahu as well as "passed on the buckets of knowledge" in Yin and Restorative from all of my wonderful Gurus.

In July of 2017 my wait was over and I finally studied under Judith Hanson Lasater and received my certification for Rest and Renew® Level 1. Teaching restorative yoga and holding space for students to cultivate an environment of rest for their body and mind is essential. In August of 2018 I completed Rest and Renew® Level 2 Advanced Restorative training.

I’m currently finishing my Advanced 500 hour training with Yoga Tree in San Francisco learning from amazing instructors such as Judith Hanson Lassiter, Christy Brown, Janet Stone, Harvey Deutch and many more. I plan to complete training by the end of 2020.

Everyone deserves rest and stillness and we should not feel guilty for needing nor wanting it! Starting a new exercise plan can cause pain and discomfort but so can starting a slower practice of rest, stillness and mindfulness and in both cases the benefits are priceless! "Yoga is like peeling an onion. You go through countless layers over a long period of time and maybe shed a few tears along the way." ~unknown
