When I was an underbelt I'd go to the dojo EVERY day to take class, and then I'd stay at the dojo to watch all the other classes until closing. By red belt in 1998 got called into the office. The Masters asked me a few questions, and then asked if I'd like to help some of the beginner / intermediate students, to which I quickly answered, "YES!" It ment i'd be allowed at the dojo for even longer hours. And that's how it began!

Being an enthusiast of most all forms of Martial Arts (and being a firm believer that the student is also the master) I've had the pleasure of working with students from all sorts training backgrounds. From seasoned competitors to casual trainers, from today's top hollywood stunt athletes to students with impaired movement. I teach in big halls with hundreds and small dojos with just 1 or 2 students in a class. The exploration of the Martial Arts is a limitless journey.

It's very important you find a good instructor with a good dojo/gym/studio w the equipment THAT FITS YOUR GENERAL & PERSONAL NEEDS. Do the research! Look at the program breakdowns, check out the instructor bios, see their curriculums if possibile, supplementary training/testing/competition activities are a good tell that a location does well to engage the students, and for another peak most locations do social multimedia now. Can always visit n check out the classes too.
