Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First lesson is spent assessing and diagnosing the students physical acumen, limitations or past injuries. From there we proceed to an in depth exploration into breathing mechanics. Then we look at range of movement. After the initial assessment we look for the proper prescrition of yoga postures to move the individual into balance and a living pain free. Through the consistet practice of the poses strength and flexibility are improved with attention to bio-mechanical alignment with attention to the breath. The goal is to provide the foundation and tools to enable the student to attend of regular yoga classes safely.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Kent has multiple certifications in Yoga, advanced techniques and energy work. He has an intimate grasp of anatomy and makes the practice available on a person to person basis.
