Frequently asked questions

First lesson is spent assessing and diagnosing the students physical acumen, limitations or past injuries. From there we proceed to an in depth exploration into breathing mechanics. Then we look at range of movement. After the initial assessment we look for the proper prescrition of yoga postures to move the individual into balance and a living pain free. Through the consistet practice of the poses strength and flexibility are improved with attention to bio-mechanical alignment with attention to the breath. The goal is to provide the foundation and tools to enable the student to attend of regular yoga classes safely.

Kent has multiple certifications in Yoga, advanced techniques and energy work. He has an intimate grasp of anatomy and makes the practice available on a person to person basis.

He has a masters degree in fine art and uses his aethetic eye to "read" bodies and trouble shoot the specific limitations of each client and offer methodologies that allow the  student to invest in their own self care and healing. I came to Yoga looking for relief of chronic low back pain. Through Yoga I was able to explore and navigate a holistic practice that served my temperment and continues to let me live pain free.

All types.

Young , old, middle aged. Athletes, post surgical patients. Dancers, runners, kids. People in chronic pain.

Rotator cuff injuries and surgeries, ACL and miniscus surgeries.

I help people augment physical therapy and heal faster.

I recently led a "Pose 4 a Purpose" benefit event at our center Willow Glen Yoga for the honorable Cancer Carepoint organization. We had over 20 participants and raised over $2000 for their programs.

Find a teacher who is older and has had a lot of injuries.

Their level of knowledge and expertise will serve you well!

Students should assess themselves and decide what it is they really want to accomplish through hiring a teacher.

Taking an honest inventory can save a lot of time and expense.

Are they committed to continue the work and remain open minded to what might be new ways of working.
