Melinda Rose has been a huge difference maker in helping our family to focus more on health and exercise. Currently she trains our son and is the only person that has truly been able to inspire him to make proper exercise and nutrition a part of his daily life. Coach Rose has been very flexible, meeting us in person prior to the pandemic and coaching remotely during the pandemic. I highly recommend giving her a shot!

I hired Melinda as I felt she was best suited for my needs. I had been unable to exercise consistently due to various physical ailments. I wanted a personal trainer to help me start gently again in an exercise program focusing on strength, balance, flexibility and conditioning. Melinda more than delivered. I have been seeing her twice a week, focusing on all those areas and I feel so much better than when I began with Melinda. Unlike other personal trainers I had talked to who seemed much more all or nothing, go go go types, Melinda came across as one who was holistic and willing to work from where I was at (which was not very far lol). She is holistic, listening to not only what I say but what my body says and worked with me beyond a personal trainer many times as a physical therapist and a body worker to address the various health issues I had. Don't let the gentle sounding sessions fool you though. Through floor exercises (core and full body) and light weights, this helped me drop down two sizes and gain tone and definition to my body. Melinda also helped me get rid of foot and wrist tendinitis and has vastly improved my sciatica. I feel so much more freedom and far less pain in my body then when I began and I have Melinda to thank for that. I highly recommend Melinda!!

I have been working with Melinda once a week for a few weeks now and through her training have already lost 10lbs! She is very good at working with me at my pace and finding goals through out the week that I can accomplish. I have learned stretches, how to use a roller and am working with her on properly using weights, which I wouldn't have known to do or how to do on my own. The other thing I really like about working with Melinda is the way that she will take a concept and try to put it into an analogy that makes sense for me and my interests. I highly recommend working with Melinda on your own goals!

How did you get started teaching?

I was recovering from a work injury and did everything but nothing seemed to help. I had my yoga teacher training certificate but had to give up on teaching to take care of my mom who had cancer. After her death and  one year of therapy with no results and still in pain . I started training as a strength trainer at a local strength training center. . Within 2 weeks I was out of pain lifting weights. I had practiced yoga and aerobics Pilates and wanted to learn as much as I could so I could transform other peoples suffering into strength.
