My name is Shelton Moreland. I am the training instructor for Georgia Professional Security Training.Com. We are providers for the Basic Training Curriculum for Security Officers in Georgia

A basic training course consisting of at least 24-hours class instruction must be successfully completed. This course can be given by the potential employer or may be taken as a standalone class.

This courses meet or exceed the Mandated State of Georgia certification requirements for Board Rules 509-3-2 Unarmed Security Officer and 509-3-10 and 11 for Armed Security Officers. This course Includes the Unarmed 24hr State Certification as well as the 16hr Armed State Certification.

Curriculum may include but not limited to the followingsubjects:

(1) Role of Private Security

(2) Legal Aspects

(3) Patrol and Observation

(4) Incident Response

(5) Security Resources: Surveillance operation and documentation

(6) Customer Service Issues: Working with and addressing the public

(7) First Aid Overview
