About

I am a retired pediatric physical therapist and a certified yoga instructor. I teach yoga in a studio setting but my passion and skills blossom working one on one. I have skills from my previous occupation that enable me to give clear, safe and individualized yoga instruction. I can help you gain new sights and expand your yoga practice.

Frequently asked questions

I conduct a brief health review and then we work on goals for the lessons.

I have extensive knowledge of anatomy and how the body moves including compensations and their causes.  I am a RYT200 certified yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance.  I teach Gentle, Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga.  I have also been certified to teach Yoga for Traumatic Brain Injury through the Love Your Brain Foundation.  My previous profession as a Physical Therapist in pediatrics is very helpful.  If I can teach 0-21 year olds how to move, I can teach you!

$75-90 an hour depending on travel.  Small Group lessons in your home of up to 5 people is a possibility.

When I completed my certification my yoga instructor hired me to work at her studio.

I have worked with adults at a private yoga studio in a small group setting and have had a few one on one sessions.  I am comfortable working with adults of all ages but have a special place in my heart for seniors.  My own practice is a Vinyasa I/II but I teach Gentle, Vin I and Hatha Yoga.

I taught a 6 week course for Love Your Brain, Yoga for Traumatic Brain Injury.  It was so helpful to the participants and I learned a lot from them.

You have to feel safe and know that the instructor will not push you past your physical and emotional limits.  I think it is also helpful to meet them first to talk over what you’re looking for out of the lessons and see if you are a good fit.

What are your past injuries ? Doyou have pain now? Am I comfortable with hands on adjustments or do I prefer verbal instruction only?  What equipment and clothing do I need?
