Simms Martial Arts Academy

I teach Universal Shrorei-Goju karate (Japanese Style). The program helps to buiid self esteem, self awareness and self discipline. Students engage in physical and mental development through age appropriate study, exercise and application of martial art techniques. Students can also enjoy the sport of local and national Karate Tournaments. I have been teaching karate for 40 years. I have taught self-defense seminars and Karate classes at the Chicago City Colleges, Chicago Housing Authority, YMCA, Governors State University, and 3 Circles School of Karate and Physical Fitness. Currently, Simms Martial Arts Academy conducts a Karate Program at the Hazel Crest Park District in Hazel Crest, Illinois. I am Director of The Traditional Warrior Karate Championship and Martial Arts Exhibition (like us on Facebook @ Traditional Warrior); View tournament videos on YouTube: Search, "Simms Traditional Warriors". I am a 7th Degree Black Belt and my Bio is scheduled for publication in the 2017 Who's Who in the Martial Arts.

I enjoy empowering my students to be the best that they can be. I believe karate builds self-confidence and character that prepares an individual for the challenges we face in life, physical or mental. It is an honor and a pleasure to share a gift that will continue to give for a lifetime.
