The Japan Karate Association of Chicago Sugiyama Dojo, founded in 1962, is one of the oldest and most traditional Karate schools in the upper Midwest. Located in Chicago, Illinois, the dojo offers a range of martial arts and personal fitness experiences. Specializing in Shotokan Karate, a traditional Japanese martial art, they provide a family-friendly, safe, and fun environment. Their personalized training program is designed to meet the unique goals of each student. The dojo is proud of its heritage, tracing lineage back to Master Funakoshi, the founder of the Shotokan style of Karate.
