FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We want to find out if there are any areas that you want to focus on: for example, neck or shoulders of lower back.

We create a sequence that workd best for you. We use blankets, blocks, bolsters, chairs and many other props to help you practice safely while expanding your potential for stretch, endurance and strength

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am an experienced registered yoga teacher at 500 level. I am also a certified yoga therapist which means I have a lot of experience working with private clients on their individual challenge areas.

I have over 20,000 hours of teaching experience

I train yoga teachers

I have training in Ayurveda and also guide people through lifestyle and food selections.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

My grandson is one year old and he has been practicing since he was 8 weeks old. It's a joy to see him practice in complete silence.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure that teacher is not doing her/his own practice during class but is paying attention to the students.

A good teacher should be able to meet students where they are and guide them safely through cues and modifications.

Yoga is more about self connection. Attention should be focused inward throught the practice. Breathing is important part of yoga and so is relaxation. A good teacher should incorporate all of these in the class

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Why do they want to practice yoga instead of other forms of exercise?

What do they want to accomplish through yoga practice?
