We are one of the oldest yoga studio in the Chicago area. we bring years of experience to our students.
We offer yoga classes for all ages and levels: From babies to your age! From challenging to relaxing and meditation
We offer yoga teacher trainings at beginners and advanced levels.
We also offer yoga classes for pregnant women, children and special needs.
All our teachers are highly skilled and teach proper alignment and modifications based on the individual needs of the student.
It's a great joy for us to be able to help someone with this ancient knowledge

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We want to find out if there are any areas that you want to focus on: for example, neck or shoulders of lower back.
We create a sequence that workd best for you. We use blankets, blocks, bolsters, chairs and many other props to help you practice safely while expanding your potential for stretch, endurance and strength
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an experienced registered yoga teacher at 500 level. I am also a certified yoga therapist which means I have a lot of experience working with private clients on their individual challenge areas.
I have over 20,000 hours of teaching experience
I train yoga teachers
I have training in Ayurveda and also guide people through lifestyle and food selections.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For a group class, students can buy passes.
For private one hour session I charge $85
For an ongoing weekly one hour session $60
How did you get started teaching?
Learnt it from my father. Started teaching when asked to do so at my spiritual center.

I have worked with young and not so young.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My grandson is one year old and he has been practicing since he was 8 weeks old. It's a joy to see him practice in complete silence.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that teacher is not doing her/his own practice during class but is paying attention to the students.
A good teacher should be able to meet students where they are and guide them safely through cues and modifications.
Yoga is more about self connection. Attention should be focused inward throught the practice. Breathing is important part of yoga and so is relaxation. A good teacher should incorporate all of these in the class
