Established in 2008, the Self Defense Studio, located in Steger, Illinois, offers a comprehensive martial arts curriculum known as Kenpo Ki Do Karate. This powerful self-defense system also serves as character education, instilling values of integrity, discipline, respect, leadership, responsibility, and compassion. Grounded in Kenpo and infused with Hapkido, the system teaches environmental awareness, structural stability, balance, power, speed, joint manipulation, and pressure point techniques. The studio has been serving the South Chicago community for over a decade, providing a safe learning environment for men, women, and children aged 5 and up.
