About

You have to love what you do. Once you're a Boxer, you're always a Boxer, because Boxing is a mental sport; 90% mental/10% physical, so you take it with you everywhere in life you go. The world is a Boxing ring. When you're able to make people see that and understand that, they apply it to every day life.

If I could tell them anything as it applies to Boxing inside of the ring, my philosophy is pretty-much the same as Bruce Lee's "Be water my friend."

I fought as a decorated National Amateur Boxer for 10 years and also as a professional until injuries ended my career before it really got started, so I bring 28 years of ring experience and Boxing knowledge to the table. I've trained in several gyms from New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore to North Carolina.

Being that I was both a amateur and pro Boxer, I understand the dynamics of how both worlds work and what's required to be the best. That's, hard work, dedication, discipline, persistence, grit, a great set of ears and I'd have to show you the rest.

My approach to Boxing training is very individualized and specific to the person. I basically run a bootcamp and I'm the Drill Sargent, so don't call or contact me if you do not want to work hard and don't like profanity.

To get a good understanding of what type of person I am, here's my podcast video. "GollDee Boyd"

It's self gratifying to help people be the best version of themselves.

Always seek a teacher with credibility and who's actually trained themselves, so they speak from experience.

    1) First and foremost, you should think about both you and the teacher's time, because once it's gone, you can't get it back.

    2) Fee and if it's negotiable.

    3) Schedule and if it's flexible.

    4) What to bring.

    5) Ask yourself if this's what you really want to do, because it's hard work and the teacher will tell you that.
