Traditional Hatha "Yang" Yoga for improved Muscular strength, flexibility, and Balance. Postures that stimulate detoxification while opening energy in the body. In the 19 years I've been teaching yoga full time what I love the most is hearing from students The relief they feel after the even their first session! Relief of tension held in the body and the mind. Improved movement and healing with consistent practice. How everything is better for them with a regular yoga practice. If I can contribute to individuals experiencing improved quality of life I have done my best work!
Elaine takes the time to understand the needs and challenges your body has in order to do the yoga moves that will best help you. She is attentive during the sessions and offers suggestions to better understand the positions that will be of the most benefit. She is very knowledgeable about the connections, meridians and fascia in the body. Her gentle manner makes each session feel so good!

Elaine is an amazing teacher. Her explanations throughout the yoga sessions are instructive and inspiring. She brings warm, calming energy to each student, every day.
I call Elaine "Mom". Though she's 15 years or so younger, she takes an interest in the development of each person. Gives guidance specific to what each participant wants/seeks to accomplish. Her version of Yin yoga has freed me to engage in rigorous back-packing/hiking trips and, before Covid, to play basketball with men 30-40 years younger. Am 71. Flexible now. Classes are occasionally difficult. I want to bolt from Zoom. Then immediately after, am limber and loose. Has been godsend for this old guy.
Finding out if they have any injuries or areas that are causing discomfort in the body, of thy have practiced yoga previously, if yes what was ther experience? Determining what type of yoga will be best for them to start with and if they like individual attention in a private online session or want to join in the online group sessions.
