About
I offer a deeply rejuvenating and stress and anxiety-reducing Kripalu Yoga class. This class comes with Thai Yoga Body work, whereby my students are stretched, palmed and thumbed if they so desire. I have been teaching since 2000 and have loved every class taught. Many of my students have been with me since the beginning on a weekly basis!
I also offer presentations on the topics of: The Science of Happiness, The Critical Importance of Being Fully Hydrated for Optimal Health and also Plant Food Nutrition to Prevent Disease and Create Optimal Health. Audiences LOVE these topics!
I teach courses on the North Shore of Long Island in Holistic Health as well covering a variety of topics, ie Somatic Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Reiki, Label Reading, Meditation and Yoga, etc.
I am Certified in Kripalu Yoga and have taken many, many courses in Thai Yoga Body Work. I was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year and also given an Outstanding Leadership Award from Bob Proctor's organization.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I generally watch the student during class to observe their alignment, breathing techniques, etc. The most important thing is that my students learn to connect deeply to SELF. Learn to connect with their inner world in a way that creates peace and increased levels of happiness. Of course we do a lot of stretching, gentle strenthening, postures, breathing techniques and self-massage.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took 16 years of Stretch/Yoga in NYC when I lived there. Then took the 200 hour Kripalu Yoga Certification and have gone back to Kripalu and to many other trainings over the more than 15 years that I have been teaching. I have also studied Thai Yoga Body work intently for the past 15 years. This is Assisted Yoga Stretch whereby I stretch, thumb and palm my students while they are in gentle yoga postures/stretches. They LOVE this!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The first class is 20 dollars. I want students to make sure they are comfortable with all before moving forward.
How did you get started teaching?
I absolutely LOVED every Stretch/Yoga class I took for 16 years on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and wanted to offer my students the amazing peace and connection to SELF I received, so I trained at Kripalu Yoga and Health Center!
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, all types. Many of my students have been with me for over 15 years! Some have had illnesses, injuries, etc. There is a place for everyone in my class.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I create Holistic Health Expos on Long Island. I marvel at what I have created at my Expos. Amazing speakers on cutting edge holistic health topics, amazing healers, etc!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you are comfortable with the teacher's style. Let your body guide you as to whether or not she/he is a good match. If it feels good in your body, it is a good choice! Your body knows best!
Perhaps give it a few times, as honestly speaking it took me a few classes to fall in love with yoga/stretch. During the first class, you are processing a lot in your mind. By the second class you are able to drop more into your body. Delightful!!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would think about what is going on internally: physically, emotionally and spiritually. Deeply connect with SELF...and see what questions arise...
