Yoga With Chelsie
About
Though I just recently received my 200 YTT certification, I have been practicing yoga for 17 years. I stay very focused on the basics, including tailoring poses to each student's body, ensuring they get the most out of their practice for their bodies and minds. Yoga is perfect to unwind, tone, and discover that you can move past your perceived limitations. A typical class with me is based in Vinyasa or Hatha and varies with client needs. We can do everything from gentle classes to fusion classes (yoga with weights!) I am here to help you accomplish your beginner yoga goals, and we can work on meditation as well! We'll get fit both mentally and physically. Contact me today!
I have always loved yoga. Once you learn the basics, it's a workout that allows you to go at whatever pace you're feeling that day. Also, paying close attention to my breath has helped to ground me mentally. Many of my clients do yoga for their mental health. It's great to be able to relate to them on that level.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We'll speak on the phone or via email (whatever you're more comfortable with) to get an idea of what you'd like to achieve. From there, we'll schedule our first class at home or in-studio!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been practicing for many years and received my 200 YTT at the beginning of 2021. I have a few clients, but am excited to branch out and take on more!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I teach primarily private beginner sessions for both adults and children ages 31+. Please visit the website for information on classes for younger kids!
Children (ages 13+) - 45 minutes ($30)
Adults - 60 minutes ($35)
Adult Group (2 or more) - 60 minutes ($30 per person)
How did you get started teaching?
I started by teaching family and friends, as well as bringing yoga to kids' birthday parties...and I fell in love with it! I decided to get certified officially and go from there.
What types of students have you worked with?
Young athletes
Adults
Older adults recovering from injury
Pre-k - Middle school kids
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell them to make sure that your teacher is willing to answer your questions and move as quickly or slowly as you'd like to go while making sure you're aligned in your poses in a way that's comfortable for your body. Let them know about any injuries or pain, and where you're at in your yoga practice.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about what you want to get out of your practice, both mentally and physically. Also, think about injuries you've had and the details of any you're healing from. Think about where you want to practice, whether it be in-studio or at home, and if you'd be more comfortable in a group.
