U. S. TAEKWONDO ACADEMY
About
Unlike many martial artists who have only studied one discipline, Grand Master Atoun and Grand Master Alsharif are fortunate to have been exposed to a variety of styles and can offer an unbiased comparison. When people ask us why we teach various styles of Martial Arts, we answer, “Simply because, one style of martial arts does not work for all situations!’’. We offer a much more honest service by teaching skills that actually hold up under pressure, and we do it while sharing the physical fitness and positive character benefits for which martial arts training has become famous
Our sole purpose is to teach students from all walks of life martial arts for self defense and self improvement in a friendly and safe environment. USTA teaches self-defense for all ages, including a full training program of Japanese Jujitsu self defense, Arnis, TaeKwonDo, & Kenjitsue (Japanese Samurai Sword).

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
STEP 1 : SCHEDULE INTRODUCTORY CLASS
STEP 2: ATTEND INTRODUCTORY CLASS
If after our initial discussion you determine that the U.S. Tae Kwon Do Academy is the school for you and/or your child, our instructor will arrange for you to participate in an introductory class. It is during this lesson that you will be taught the basic skills necessary to begin the group classes.
Our goals for your initial lessons are that:
- You will gain enough information about our school and our classes so that you can easily tell us whether or not this is the program you would like to be involved with.
- We will gain a bit of knowledge about where you are starting physically, enabling us to properly tailor your first few classes.
- Most importantly, we want you to feel comfortable right from your very first class. We want you to know enough about the basic Martial Arts skills so that you will be able to actively participate with the other students right from day one.
STEP 3: COUNSELING AND ENROLLMENT
After your Trial Lesson, you will be invited to sit down with one of our staff who will explain how our program will help you and/or your child to realize your potential and become the best person you can be.
At this time the instructor will make some recommendations on what might be the best program for you or for your child and set classes that best fit your schedule. Then we start the enrollment process and you become a USTA student on a quest to be your best!
