Started training at age 5. He is a Tri-State, Metro, Regional and National All-American Taekwon-Do champion. Served in the U.S Marines for 8 years. Chief Instructor for the Marine Corps Taekwon-Do team. Marine Corps Close combat Instructor. Trained with the Korean Olympic team in Seoul. Chief Instructor for a Diplomatic program, training the Iraqi Olympic Committee under the U.S State Department. Served in the Feredal LE - U. S State Department for 10 years. Served in Iraq (High Threat) for 10.5 years providing Diplomatic protection to high level Dignitaries.

Mr. Teran is specialized not only in personal protection (Diplomatic Protection in high threat), but he has also been in the fitness industry for many years. His passion is to teach self-defense and fitness. This passion has earned him the opportunity to partner up with a bodybuilding supplement and fitness company, to one day reach the ultimate goal of becoming a "Sponsored Athlete".
In addition, Mr. Teran has also been accepted and is part of the Men's Health Fitness Council, where he will share fitness strategies/exercises, meals plans, etc. and be featured on future fitness articles. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first few days, the student will learn rules and regulations. Self defense, work on cardiovascular, proper striking execution.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 40 years of martial arts experience. Close combat instructor in the United States Marine Corps. Chief instructor for the Marine Corps Taekwon-Do team. Chief instructor for the Iraqi National team, under a Diplomatic program with the U.S. State Department.
Presently have 32 years teaching in multiple levels. Trained military, actors, Federal agents, private sector.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for an instructor that care about the quality of training. An instructor is just like a coach, if they push you hard enough; you will eventually get better. It's always about self-improvement!
