Frequently asked questions

I employ three (3) life lessons that I use to teach:

1. Plan: You have to know where you going before you take off. Having a plan is the basis of success.

2. Communicate: It plays a vital role. It not only helps to facilitate the process of sharing information and knowledge, but also helps develop relationships not only with others, but with the messages in your work-especially in art.

3. Consistency: Allows for measurement. Until you have tried something new for a period of time and in a consistent manner, you can't decide if it works or not. It creates accountability, establishes your reputation, makes you relevant and maintains your message.

Having these three teaching mantra along with, study guides, video guides, and relevant study material, makes me confident new students will be comfortable to take their newly learned skill in the field.

A few of my professional highlights that I feel best demonstrate my abilities and qualifications are:

  • Created an ad using photography & typography for Martin Guitar company and was advertised in American Airlines sky magazine.
  • Directed, Written, & produced a my community commercial for McDonald's
  • Designed the themed logo for MTV VMA awards in 2005 in Miami
  • Received Bachelors of Fina Arts degree from AIU
  • Direct and produce a live pro wrestling show currently.
  • Created custom logo designs for: I.vizion, llc, Witten Automotive, Lola Boutique bakery, MDK Fitness, and others

MY standard pricing is as follows:

$65 per hour with a two (2) hour minimum. Then drops $10 per hour after.

*for example: a four (4) hour day ($65, $65, $55, $45) will total = $230

  • One day my home printer ran out of ink & I needed to print a letter that needed to be signed & notarized and sent back to another country via DHL. I stopped by the library to use the printer and the computer was asking for a library card and I was like "what?" Then this lady logged on for me, I said thank you and was able to sign onto my email, print what I needed and was happy. But this lady was having a hard time, looking sad as she was applying for multiple jobs and I asked what did she do for work? She said she had her AA degree in art, but because she was a felon, it was holding her back from getting any good paying jobs. Being nosey I asked, what were you accused of? She said "she had three (3) driving while license suspended/revoked in which resulted in felony charge, took probation, and then violated her probation twice when she got into a fight with her ex over their son, who by the way was sitting on the ground next to her, and then took her car from him, but resulted in another violation due to her ex having filed a restraining order agaianst her. So with these things in her background, jobs discriminate against hiring her. I told her well, keep pursuing your search, but I can help you with your art. She knew her way around the basics of photoshop, I taught her a few tricks, took her with me on a few client meetings to learn the lingo of client needs and how to deliver with options, we planned and executed projects together and now she quit working for me, moved to Atlanta, opened her own print shop and now is making $70-$75k a year. That's when I knew if I can help build a bridge for someone that trusted and believed in me, then I can teach.

I've had the underachiever to the overachiever. From the bossy to the over-thinker.

A friend of mine who I taught the aspects of video production to, had earned a job working as location scout for Marvel.

Ask all the questions you can think of. Take a friend. Observe like crazy and network, network, network.

Am I ready to make a commitment? Are you flexible? How do you measure academic progress?
