Hello!  My name is Jamie Lindmeyer, an ISSA-Certified Personal Trainer, with a specialization in fitness nutrition. I will help you acheive your fitness and weight loss goals and increase your energy for life! I do this by creating a customized exercise and/or nutrition program that specifically addresses your goals and creates healthy, sustainable habits. I then implement this program in a positive, supportive and collaborative fashion during in-person and/or online sessions (your choice). In addition to these private sessions, I provide you with real-time support and accountability which helps ensure your success!

This offer is available 10/01/19-10/31/19, but the free sessions may continue into November. You must travel to my newer fitness center in Golden Valley. There is no obligation for you to continue to work with me after the offer ends, all I ask is that in exchange for those sessions you provide a brief, written review that I can post on this and other sites. After having worked with him for about a month now, I can say he cares about his work and the work he is doing for me. He is very personable and willing to work with whatever situation you may have going on. I know when i come out the other side of this i will be better for it . 10/10 do recommend.

Amazing!! You really get the best experience with Jaime. He is very knowledgeable and really cares about what your goals are and how to reach them. Every session is catered to your goals and what you want to achieve and he is very intuitive on form so you get the best result from each exercise. You won't find a trainer with a better attitude and outlook on life! Best decision I've made in many years.

I can’t recommend Jamie enough! After giving birth 2 years ago and returning to work, I've found it impossible to find the time or energy to even plan a workout.  Despite years of CrossFit and then expensive personal training at the gym, I felt like I couldn't find any fitness program that I could commit to that would be hands-on yet flexible enough to support a full-time working mom. It never occurred to me that I could afford personal training and be responsive and flexible enough to schedule on my time, but Jamie provided exactly that.  Best of all he is always SO responsive and truly cares, but doesn’t apply the typical kind of pressure that other personal trainers would push. Truly an amazing value and comprehensive but personalized program.

Finding a personal trainer that is the right fit, and will keep you constantly motivated, is no easy task. I scoured through Yelp listings (and took recommendations from friends), when looking for a trainer. After meeting with Jamie, I was pretty convinced by his realistic, yet motivating attitude. He was honest, and guaranteed he'd be aware of my limits, while still pushing me to meet my goals. Whenever I had questions or concerns, he was the one who encouraged me to text him and keep the convo going to stay on track! This is a service that def isn't offered with other trainers I've met w before. I highly recommend working with Jamie. He is worth every penny!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to meet with a prospective client and understand where he/she is currently at with regards to their health, activity level and overall wellness. During this discussion, I try to find out what his/her motivation is for making this change (“the why factor”) and develop some SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound). The whole process for me is about meeting the potential client where he/she is at (a consciously tailored approach for beginners all the way to advanced individuals) while providing the necessary coaching and accountability in ordered for him/her to meet/exceed their goals!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

* ISSA - Certified Personal Trainer (International Sports Sciences Association)

* ISSA specialization in Fitness Nutrition

* 4 years of training, 5+ days per week with a certified personal trainer and IFBB Professional athlete - Alex Woodson

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Current offers:

- First month free (8 PT sessions, see details in my profile)

- Standard pricing: $60/hour

- I offer increasing discounts off of my standard price when 5-9 or 10+ sessions are purchased

How did you get started teaching?

I was in a car accident five years ago and gained 50 pounds in less than a year due to inactivity during my recovery period and all the pain medications I was prescribed which lead to depression and emotional eating. I reached a point where I didn’t want to be in my own skin anymore (avoiding mirrors, pictures and events with family and friends), couldn’t find the joy in life and was fairly miserable. This continued for a couple of years and finally I knew I needed to make a change because I didn’t want to live like that anymore, so I found a trainer on Google and started working out regularly with him, eating right and I took charge of my life. These efforts made such an impact on my life, I decided I wanted to leave the secure corporate job I had for over 12 years to become a certified personal trainer and help others do the same and live their best lives!

What types of students have you worked with?

Men and women who have wanted to lose weight, gain lean muscle, increase energy, feel better about themselves, learn to meal prep/cook delicious, balanced meals and live a better life.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I’m working with an ICU nurse who has a crazy schedule and a high stress work environment that came to me looking to lose weight, increase energy and self esteem. 30-days into his program, he has lost 14 pounds without feeling deprived (currently on 2000 daily calories and custom macros for his goals), reported increased energy and noticed positive changes in his body composition. Whenever I talk with him, I can see and hear things changing for the better in his life which fills me with happiness.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Meet with him/her and determine if you’re just another client (a numbers game) or if you believe he/she has the character and genuine interest necessary to be there for/with you on the good days and bad days. Someone who holds tightly your goals and vision of who you want to become and reminds you of that when you forget or lose confidence, when things get tough, as well as uses that information to cheer you on when you succeed and remind you you’re making progress! The trainer you choose should create a roadmap to get you to your goals and vision and be your champion through the process.
