From starting out life as the kid with leg braces who wasn't supposed to be able to run and play like the other kids, to the kid who was too skinny and weak to be play sports, to the teenager whose knees were so bad that he was told he'd be lucky to walk at age 30, to the guy in his forties who was told that he needed back surgery and would never lift heavy weights or play recreatiomal sports again, I've spent my life overcoming obstacles and now I help others overcome theirs. Having received certifications from the International Sports Sciences Associates, USA Weightlifting, National Health Educators and CrossFit, as well as my education in the life sciences as a microbiology major and pre-med student I am uniquely qualified to help anyone who wants to improve their health and fitness.
When I started out as a younger trainer I thought the dream scenario would involve working with high level athletes; professionals, Olympians and elite collegians. But what I soon learned was that the greatest joy comes from giving someone the ability to achieve something that was previously beyond their abilities. From the desk bound accountant turned triathlete to the working mother turned obstacle course racer I love watching my clients learn, grow and discover a side of themselves they didn't know existed.
