Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meet them, find out everything about their situation and goals, asses then create a program based on what they want and what their body needs. My programs are like building a house. We need to create a good foundation, then go from that point!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the fitness industry for over 23 years specializing in group and personal training. I provide fitness programs for all levels and abilities and specialize in weight loss, toning, strength and flexibility. As an industry veteran I have the capability of delivering a great fitness experience while keeping it fun.
My fitness certifications include: PT, Group Fitness, Yoga fit, PIYO, INSANITY, Fitness Brigade (HIIT), Jillian Michael’s Bodyshred and Pilates. My workouts can blend the different formats together to create a fusion of programming modalities, or I can keep it single focused depending on what my clients require. I work hard to assist my clients in progressing and achieving a desired experience with periodization and safety in mind.
I am a native of Victoria, British Columbia and my roles in the fitness “world” have included being a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, group fitness director and personal training director. I have worked for boutique studios, large fitness companies, high profile families and have owned 2 personal training studios in Redondo Beach, Ca. My passion is to help people achieve optimal health as I know the impact balanced health has in all facets of our lives
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge people by session and have extremely reasonable rates. My theory is that everyone can benefit from training no matter what your budget is.
How did you get started teaching?
I have a family history of lifestyle related diseases and saw how it could affect the quality of someone's life. It empowered me to help change preventable problems.
