About this pro

My approach to Pilates is highly tailored to your particular needs to achieve measurable results. While I enjoy teaching Pilates for fitness and weight loss, I find assisting you with specific goals to be highly gratifying. For instance, I have extensive experience in creating effective Pilates programs for the following issues: -- Rehabilitation of knees, hips, ankles, and shoulders; -- Chronic back pain; -- Slipped or bulging disks; -- Restoring range of motion post-surgery; -- Osteoporosis and osteopenia; -- Scoliosis; -- Lifestyle-induced scoliosis (including singers, musicians, athletes, and specific occupations); -- Pre- and post-natal (including mild to severe diastasis); -- Pelvic floor dysfunction; -- Nerve disorders and Parkinson's disease; -- Sports performance enhancement (golf, baseball, cricket, triathlon).

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

When it comes to health and wellness, everyone has their own goals, backgrounds, good and bad habits, fitness levels, challenges, injuries, foibles, excuses, motivation levels, etc. Simply put, everyone is an individual and everyone’s body is unique.

Gold Line Pilates provides all of our clients with individual assessments the first time they walk through our door, and every time thereafter. By assessing your current movement patterns, and understanding structural imbalances and asymmetries, our rigorously trained and highly experienced instructors create personalized workouts based on where you are today and where you want to be.

Beyond working towards larger goals, the instructors at Gold Line Pilates adapt to your intermittent challenges as well. Slept on your neck wrong? Overdid it at Crossfit yesterday? Had a middle seat on the redeye from JFK? It’s your hour and your workout is tailor-made for you.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Gold Line Pilates seeks out the best instructors that the industry has to offer. All of our instructors have undergone in-depth programs with at least 600 hours of class time, student teaching hours, mentoring by a master trainer, observation, apprenticeship, and continuing education.

Additionally, Gold Line instructors are all unique individuals with diverse interests. Our clients feel the difference and reap the benefits of a well-trained instructor, and have a blast doing so.
