About

As a personal trainer, strength and conditioning specialist, exercise physiologist and physical therapist, I have the knowledge and experience to create safe, effective training programs for people of all ages and fitness levels. I am new to this site, Lessons.com, but have been a highly sought after trainer on their other site, Thumbtack.com for several years, so you will not see any reviews for me at the moment but on Thumbtack, I have many and 100+ hires.

I enjoy working with people of all ages and fitness levels and enjoy watching and helping them achieve their fitness goals. I'm fortunate to have been able to make a living doing what I'm passionate about.

    Frequently asked questions

During my initial consultation, I provide a subjective and objective assessment of the client.  We go over their goals along with exercise and medical history.  Then, we go through a 20 to 30 minute workout where I am assessing posture, body mechanics, balance, functional endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and muscular strength and endurance.

I have a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology and physical therapy.  I am a certified personal trainer, certified strength and conditioning specialist, sports nutritionist, certified movement and balance specialist, certified athletic trainer.  I choose to no longer practice physical therapy as a profession but utilize my years of experience and knowledge in that profession to the benefit of all my clients.

I offer several packages to meet most budgets.  My hourly fees begin as low as $25 and I offer packages of 8, 10, 12 and 20 prepaid sessions.

I also offer an unlimited monthly circuit training program, which includes 40 minute sessions, up to 5 days per week.  The fee for this program is $145/month.

I got started in this profession back in college at the University of Tennessee.  I was a scholarship wrestler and suffered an unfortunate neck injury that derailed my Olympic aspirations.  While going through stringent rehabilitation after my injury and surgery, I became interested in physical therapy and pursued that as a career, which I was involved in as a clinician and business owner for over 15 years.

Over the years, I've worked with people of all ages and fitness levels.  I currently train children, high school athletes, collegiate and professional athletes, several touring musicians and people just looking to either lose or gain weight and to improve their overall level of health and fitness.

Look for someone who has several years of experience working with people of all ages, fitness levels and with various long-term goals.  Find someone who is patient and has good communicative skills.
