I thoroughly enjoy helping people hit their goals. I've had clients with goals of putting on muscle, losing weight, and just an overall health style tune-up, and we've all hit or exceeded our goals.
I enjoy looking at each person individually and making a plan that will fit their lifestyle, availability, and budget. We are all unique, so why wouldn't our program reflect that?

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The immediate step would be to set up a phone call. In the phone call, it's a little "Meet and Greet" We discuss goals, perhaps some exercises that you've done in the past you enjoy, and just some other overall questions. This is also a time for you to ask me any question you want! I get tons of questions about what trainers actually do. I'd be ecstatic to answer any/all questions! We will then schedule the first session! The first session will be an "intake" session. I run through a couple of tests that allow us to see how all of your muscles are working together. By targeting certain muscle groups that need improvement, we can get to your goal safely, and more efficiently!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer, as well as a Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes! I have a base rate of $45/ per hour session. HOWEVER, I offer session packs that can drop the rate.
I also offer Hybrid Training which is some in-person, and some online. This is another way to drop the price of training.
Finally- I offer fully online training, which will be the most cost-effective method.

How did you get started teaching?
I got into working out several years ago. I went to school to learn more about exercise as I enjoyed it very much.
I was working for Marriott full-time while finishing school. In 2020 I was laid off from Marriott and spent most of the year waiting for work to come back.
In January 2021 I decided to take a step off a ledge and start Ferris Fitness. I have been doing this Full-Time since and couldn't be happier to be doing what I do.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with clients from all age brackets and needs.
My youngest client has been a 12-year-old girl, and I have helped several seniors.
With my Corrective Exercise Specialization, I can help people with musculature issues. I have had clients with ACL tears, knee replacements, arthritis, and more.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am doing group hikes for all my clients every 2 weeks. I love being able to bring people together to meet others who are interested in exercise.
Fitness is more than spending an hour in the gym. It is about building a community of people who have an interest in self-care like you do.
I absolutely love seeing people find happiness through fitness.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You have to make sure you like your trainer and deem them knowledgeable enough to be your instructor.
A trainer-client relationship is just like any other relationship you have in your life. You spend time together and get to know each other's lives, families, and things they like to do.
Knowledge is equally important as you do not want to get injured. A saying I like to tell people is "I want you leaving better than you came in". This means I coach technique and proper workload to ensure that there are no injuries. We want you to get better each time. If there is an injury, you are out of training for several weeks - months and unable to hit your goal.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1.) Am I committed to making fitness a part of my life or is this just another phase?
2.) Why do I want to hire a trainer?
3.) Am I willing to make some changes in my life inside and outside the gym to ensure I am successful?
