I have been a Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai instructor for the last 26 years. I hold several titles as a fighter: lightheavy weight/cruiserweight kickboxing champion, southern California Muay Thai Lightheavy weight champion, Chicago Bangkok Brawl Champion, and Chicago Golden Gloves Boxing Champion. I also hold a Black Belt in Kempo, have certifications in several training organizations, am a USA Boxing Certified Coach, and have studied many other disciplines. I love what I do, so this isn't work for me...it's fun. I am dedicated to what I do and will do whatever I can to help those with the drive, will, and passion to learn what I teach. So, if you believe you are ready to learn then I look forward to hearing from you!
I'm always learning when I teach...which means my students keep learning and getting better as I do.
Started with Coach Marchello in 2017, was training prior to that but since i joined him my life changed. Within 2 1/2 years he helped me clearly understand and acquire the boxing/muay thai techniques, be able to fight no matter if i would participate or not .As well he helped me to really develop strong discipline and character which is helpful in all areas of life. In this time frame i already participated in 4 national tournaments, got a belt and participated in Chicago Golden Gloves, where i got to quarterfinals. Highly recommended Coach Marchello for leading you to become a more focused/disciplined person , to really stand up for yourself or your loved ones in real life situations. And you’ll get in top notch shape!
There are many reasons I go to Michaud Boxing. The experience and expertise. The method of teaching. Being able to explain the how and why, while remaining firm and encouraging the best the individual can give. Knowledge. I'm a Type 1 Diabetic, I have complications. And I've seen other students with their own particular issues. Michaud has proven to be able ta adapt my training to work with my conditions and still achieve desired goals.
Marchello Michaud has been my striking coach for over a decade at this point. His martial arts pedigree, fight experience, knowledge of the human anatomy and physiology, and dedication to improving others all make him a top notch coach and trainer. He has spent years as a strength and conditioning coach and happens to be a Soma Institute certified Massage Therapist. Whether it has been in martial arts, losing weight, getting stronger, or working through injuries, this guy has always been there to help me improve and stay healthy. I have plenty to reasons be thankful to Marchello, but what I respect most about him is that he is constantly improving his own martial skills, which allow him to be a better coach. His love of martial arts and his passion for sharing it with others in order to improve their lives has always been a constant in the years I have trained with him. I very much look forward to continue training and competing with this guy in my corner.
I have trained under Michaud’s instruction for about 4 years on and off. My only regret was not being able to train consistently with him through out that time. What I like most is that he's always involved and instructs us first hand instead of always teaching from the sidelines. His knowledge, passion and skill is what creates true fighters, for sport or not. If you’re looking to up your stand up game, this is the man to go to.
I like to get people working, and moving right away. We go over stance, footwork, and punches. We also end the sessions with conditioning drills and stretching.
I was a battlefield medic in the Navy, a Surgical Technician, a Champion in Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai, a Certified Personal Trainer, and a Massage Therapist.
I charge $60 per hour for private lessons.
I started Martial Arts, and Boxing when I was 9. I worked hard, became good, and started teaching when I was 20.
All types, beginners to advanced.
I recently brought my fighters to Kansas City for an international tournament which they both won.
Look at their accomplishments, pay attention to their passion. If you don't feel it keep looking.
