About

I have been a pitching coach for 6 years, and have played softball and pitched myself for over 10 years! I played softball at the Division I level at Central Connecticut State University. Over my softball career, I have collected the drills, cues, wisdom and strategies of so many coaches and I am excited to bring all those ideas to you!

I love giving pitching lessons because it gives me a chance to share everything I know with the young pitcher I once was. When I started my pitching journey, I did not have much guidance and I wish I could've had a coach to teach me the ins and outs of pitching and the ups and downs of life.

Emily has been working with my daughter for a while, and I couldn’t be happier. She is a great communicator and teacher. I can see improvement from my daughter after every lesson, and my daughter looks forward to working with her each week. I can’t recommend her enough!

    Frequently asked questions

When working with a new athlete, I like to know their background of pitching and softball, and what their goals are for their lessons (they want to throw faster, throw more strikes, make their middle school team, etc.). I have worked with pitchers of all ages, so experience is not an issue. I love working with beginner pitchers, but can help more advanced/high school pitchers learn even more about their pitches and the mental side of the game.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, and I am a certified strength and conditioning coach through 2 organizations (CSCCa and NSCA).

I was a DI pitcher for 4 years, I pitched 4 years on my Varsity high school team, and I played travel ball since I was 10 years old.

    $70 for a 1 hour pitching lesson.

    $40 for a 30 minute pitching lesson.

Small group rate: $100 per hour lesson, split between 2-4 pitchers.

I loved playing softball and I loved pitching. When I started coaching, I fell in love with the process of helping others reach their goals and follow their dreams that are so similar to what mine were.

The majority of my athletes have been in the 8-14 year old range. I was a volunteer pitching coach for a 12U team in 2017. I have worked with 4 high school pitchers, all who played travel ball through the summer.

I currently work at Harvard University as a strength and conditioning coach, so I work with 18-22 year olds all the time, and am responsible for 7 teams (~200 athletes).

Make sure you know what your goals are! If you are serious about being an elite level pitcher in your age group, it will take a lot of time and effort. I can help you if this is your goal.

If you are playing softball simply because it is a fun passtime and you dont want to pursue it past middle school, then maybe these lessons are not for you.
