About
I've been honored to receive recognition as Minneapolis' Best Personal Trainer in 2021, 2019, 2018, and 2015. My fitness model and PRIMEpathway protocol enables me to deliver superior, lasting results.
Any trainer can create a workout. I work diligently to ensure clients do the right workouts for their body type, understand the mechanics of fitness and nutrition, and adopt the lifestyle changes needed to reach their goal.
Few things bring me more joy than helping people achieve their goals. I've helped some clients lose 100 pounds and others prepare for physique competitions. I enjoy working with people, no matter what condition they're in.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin with an evidence-based fitness assessment and consultation. I must understand the core motivation and clear goal of my client to deliver maximum value. If I can deliver more value than anyone else, I take them on as a client. If I can't, I'll send them to someone who can.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I carry an ACE personal trainer certification, with emphases in fat loss and older adult training. ACE represents the top personal training certification in the industry.
In addition, I have earned certificates and completed courses for Strength Training Anatomy, Optimal Strength Training, Nutrition Coaching, FallProof Balance and Mobility, and Strength Training Over 50.
I have placed at the top of numerous physique competitions lowering my body fat to under 4% for each one.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing changes some based on the length of the desired program (number of sessions purchased). I present multiple options during the complimentary consultation.
How did you get started teaching?
I started professionally in personal training after fulfilling my work as an officer in the US Marine Corps. I had used fitness to benefit my own life since age 14. When I began training others, I did so mainly to support my new family. But after a few months of seeing people achieve their goals, I fell in love with the process. So, I doubled-down and became a student of personal training and performance coaching.
I now use my skill to coach clients locally and in companies across the country.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with people of all ages and all walks of life - from local celebrities to business professionals to stay-at-home moms. I can help anyone succeed who has a genuine desire to do so and a willingness to learn how to do it.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the trainer you hire has the right credentials and the right experience for you. Go through a consultation and determine if your personalities mesh. It takes a real relationship of trust to achieve your best results. Don't be afraid to ask questions. And if the trainer doesn't ask you good questions, look elsewhere because it is absolutely critical for your success.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
When you show up for an initial consultation, don't be afraid to ask the trainer these questions:
How do you train yourself?
What tools do you use to help your clients succeed?
How do you track progress and measure results?
Can you tell me about a recent client who has acheived the results I want?
