About
Hello! I offer in-home custom personal training, Meditative Movement sessions for relaxation, and kettlebell lessons for strength, cardiovascular health and mobility.
What is Meditative Movement?
Tap into your natural state of relaxation, mental clarity and wellness with Meditative Movement. You will learn how to naturally release patterns of stress and tension that halt productivity and produce illness. This therapeutic movement is designed for all levels of physical fitness. Soothing cues along with gentle guided movements re-train your body how to move, function and live at your optimal state. Benefits include reduced pain, feelings of well-being and relaxation, better posture, deeper sleep, improved immune function, better circulation and energy flow, reduced anxiety/stress/depression, and more. Movements are done lying on the floor.
About Me
I began my journey into health and healing with Russian Kettlebell training where I was a certified RKC from 2011-2016. Along the way I became more interested in the healing arts and began studying Feldenkrais (a psychosomatic movement therapy), the Three Principles Psychology and meditation. My Feldenkrais teacher told me I had a gift for teaching Feldenkrais and I loved teaching it. I could see the clear link between Feldenkrais and physical as well as mental and emotional well-being. The principles of Feldenkrais also happened to fit right in with the other studies I had been pursuing. It wasn't long afterward I formed my own hybrid therapeutic art called Meditative Movement, a unique blend of Feldenkrais with elements of the Three Principles Psychology and meditation. Meditiative Movement has since been brough to workplaces, gyms, into personal training, couples and small group lessons to promote relaxation and ease in the body and mind.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start off by getting to know the client to determine how best I can serve them as a trainer. I assess their needs and goals and put together a recommended plan for acheiving the desired results and maintaining the results once achieved. I believe that a successful client-trainer relationship is founded on trust, communication and rapport.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am former co-owner of Total Body Power, a thriving fitness business in St. Louis Park. I have background and training in Russian Kettlebells (RKC 2011-2016), Feldenkrais, Psychology and Nutrition. Having worked in the field for 10+ years, I have a deep understanding and respect for the human body and how it works. I practice a holistic view of health and well being, as the emotional and mental aspects of health are just as important to address as the physical.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing starts at $75 per one hour session. Couples and small group sessions start at $100 per one hour session.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with elite athletes and I have worked with 87 year old rock stars. No matter the level of fitness or the goals, I believe I offer something of value to anyone wanting to pursue better movement and more harmony in their physical and emotional well being.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I recommend to my clients to think about their priorities in life. Whats most important? Is taking better care of yourself something you are ready to commit to? Health and fitness are a big commitment of money and time, I'm not going to lie. But, what really matters is that you know you are worth it, and by you investing in yourself, you are creating powerful change that will help you be the best version of yourself. This is the most selfless thing you can do, because when you're taken care of, you are much more available to help others and create positive change in your life and the world.
