Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The key is finding out what they really want and getting clear on it. What one thing, when they accomplish it, will make it worth their time, effort and money? I want to know that and they need to know that too.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Primal Health Coach certification
I've been lifting since 15 years old.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
No. I determine pricing once I know what a client wants. Will we be meeting face to face or just coaching over the phone/zoom? Frequency, planned duration, etc. all make a difference in mpricing the lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching mostly men how to lift and rebuild muscle mass about 10 years ago. Then I moved into fat loss and overall health conditioning as the need for it was (and is) huge. Now I coach a mix of women and men.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly over-50 men and women. Fat loss is their primary objective but many are looking to build muscle, get lean and look fit too.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Coaching is really about relationships. It takes a while to get to know someone, what they want, how they think, what their roadblocks are. I'd say talk to the person and meet face to face if you can and just decide whether you'll lke working with them. Are you a fit personality wise?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is your #1 goal for the next 6 months? It's best to clear about it and not try to do too many things at once. It's common to want to build muscle and lose fat at the same time but it's best to focus on one first. Decide what is most important to you and why.
