I've been a personal trainer for over 6 years.  My teaching style is focused on long-term sustainable routines and a lifestyle to increase your qaulity of life.  My goal for you is to avoid "yo-yo" results where individuals attain their goals but quickly revert back to old habits.  

I've trained in large box gyms, small fitness studios, and group training but now I focus purely on one-on-one training.  I train clients in my renovated home based studio, or travel to them.  My specialty is weight loss, muscle tone, increased endurance, and flexibility.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I always perfom a short phone consultation:

1)Gather fitness goal details and timelines.

2)Assess history of exercises and injuries if present.

3)Answer any questions you may have.

Then I make my recommendation for your custom training plan--frequency of exercise, frequency of one-on-one training, and diet.  Structure milestone schedule to attain final goal. Finally we discuss the pricing for your training program.  

Students will register through my online fitness application where they can view every exercise performed within their workout regiment.  This is also where students will check-in after completing their exercise homework.

Monthly strength and undurance assessents and weekly weigh-ins.  Re-visit goals after each goal milestone.

NASM personal trainer certified and practiced personal training for over 6 years.

Ideal for people who do not have access to a gym, and require a standard physical program.

Includes basic program and: *Weekly call-in checkups.

How did you get started teaching?

I was over 200lbs and saw the effect lack of exercise and poor diet played a role in my overall fitness and mood.  

After staying in a cast for 8 months, I saw the importance of physical rehabilitation played with regaining my strength so that I can enjoy my hobbies and pursuit of other experiences.  

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with a wide range of students: Ranging from youth to seniors, suffering from joint pain, those with a history of surgery, underweight to obese, strained work schedules and working within financial budgets.  

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Training my client run her first half marathon, a long time goal she never imagined she could do, and seeing her cross the finish line to break into tears of joy as she embraced her supporting family and friends.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Every teacher has a training style, make sure that their style matches what you need and can work with.

Trainers also have specialities: some focus on bodybuilders, extreme weight loss regiments, rehabilitation.
