What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken many courses in support of my chosen field of study in kinesiology (the study of human movement as it relates primarily to muscles) including exercise physiology, anatomy, sports nutrition, aging and nutrition, exercise for special populations, fitness assessment, biomechanics, and prevention and care of athletic injuries.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have been a nationally-credentialed Certified Personal Trainer since 2003 and was one of the first personal trainers to be hired by Stanford University in 2006. I have trained Stanford University staff, faculty, and hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students from 2006 to 2015. I am currently teaching fitness classes such as Total Body Fitness, Sports Conditioning, and HIIT for corporate employees of Valley Health Plan and teach Bootcamp classes at California Water Service and Palo Alto Networks in San Jose and Santa Clara, respectively. In addition, I instruct periodic gym orientations for new community members and train clients at the Villages Golf and Country Club in San Jose. I also provide home training for clients in the South Bay Area.
