My name is Lala Darrah and I am an NASM certified personal trainer and pilates instructor. I have trained in the Bay Area for 15 years and located in the heart of Saratoga Village at The Perfect Trainer. It's an exclusive gym with only 1-on-1 training. It has two rooms full of personal training equipment, plus another room upstairs for pilates training. There is always plenty of free parking in front of the studio and there are changing rooms and a shower.
Let me tell you a little bit about my services and what's available for you to choose from. For personal training I use interval training with free weights, cable machines, TRX suspension training, kettle bells and a variety of cardio equipment at the studio. If you wish to supplement your gym sessions with home workouts I can also customize a home exercise program for you. What I do is I email a weekly program which includes pictures and online videos you can follow as you exercise. If you wish to see maximum results in your training this is a good way to go!
If you have injuries you need to rehab from or want to become more flexible I suggest combining personal training with a weekly pilates session. Pilates is a wonderful adjunct to personal training and a great stress reliever! It corrects postural mis-alignments and builds core strength which helps trim the waistline and provides a strong foundation for more demanding exercises.
For aches and pains I use deep tissue massage and release techniques to provide relief. Many of my clients have found this to be very effective in pain management as it works on a wide variety of ailments. I can also advise on a nutritional plan, which is critical for increasing energy, improving your mood, building muscle and taking the pounds off.
As you can see I have a lot to offer! My sessions are truly one-on-one, just you and me, for a full hour. Alternately I can train duets at a rate of $60 per person.

She works with the suggestions from my chiropractor and helps me do the prescribed exercises correctly. Plus she gives me more exercises to strengthen and balance my whole body. Every workout is different, so it never gets boring, and she weaves in some fun conversation with the workout.
I provide a free 1/2 hour session for new students either in the gym or over the phone. After that I do an assessment which determines the frequency and the content of the sessions going forward.
I am National Association of Sports Medicine and Corrective Exercise certified for personal training as well as Pilates Member Alliance and Balanced Body University certified for Pilates.
