    Frequently asked questions

First, we set up a time for a consultaiton. During this time we get to know one another, take some measurements, conduct a few fitness assesmmsents, and go over the program.

After the consultation we decide on a schedule and begin working towards accomplishing the client's goals.

I have completed a series of continuing education courses and continue to keep pace with a progressive industry by reading books, articles and contemporary research.

I offer my clients monthly health programs. This means that we commit to a full month of training rather than a few sessions. The reason is to increase accountability, commitment, and progress toward a healthier life.

In the fall of 2009 I began experiencing severe abdominal pain which eventually led to a 20lb weight drop in less than two months. I was ill, but I didn't have the slightest clue what was wrong with me. I humbly broke from my stubbornness and visited the doctor. After several visits and a colonoscopy, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (a chronic illness in the colon). Fortunately, I was told my illness could be maintained with a simple prescription requiring me to take three pills three times a day. Yes, that's right; I swallowed nine pills every day. The doctors claimed they were unsure of the cause and that the safest plan of action would be to take the drugs and anticipate a relapse in the future.

I was disappointed with the thought of having a chronic illness that apparently had no cause and required me to be on drugs for the remainder of my life. I began to wonder if this was the only way. I believe God designed our bodies with the potential to be much healthier, however we sometimes fail to recognize our responsibility to care for the body that has been entrusted to us. I certainly wasn't acting as a faithful steward of my body and I was suffering because of it.

By the grace of God I have been free from medication since April of 2012 and I have not experienced any relapses since my initial diagnoses in 2009. Why? Because I significantly altered my nutrition and yielded my stressful anxieties over to God. What a blessing! I can only hope for my clients to experience a similar victory of their own health failures!

Full comprehensive health assessments, especially nutrition and physical activity. The nutritional consulting is a continuous daily maintenance. Each private training session is tailored to the specific and unique goals of the individual.

I am extremely proud about helping a recent client rebound quite quick from a lumbar spine surgery. She is in her mid-seventies, but was very diligent and persevered through the training which was often difficult. But she has regained her balance, stability, flexibility and strength. A remarkable woman!
