We have been building CrossFit athletes since 2008 and are not a typical gym. The typical gym is a sea of machines, you are left to fend for yourself or figure out a routine that will work for you.
At CrossFit of Naperville we work exclusively with compound movements and shorter, high-intensity cardiovascular sessions. We vary the workouts daily. Day to day and week to week, the workouts are ever changing. Because we have found that compound and functional movements done at relatively high-intensity or anaerobic cardio is radically more effective at eliciting the desired fitness result. And variety will avoid a platue affect and keep you ready for anything.
At CrossFit of Naperville a trainer is there to work with you at all times. We do not feel that we need to hover over every movement that you make, but rather that we can guide and coach you to become more independent. You are ultimately responsible for your fitness, but the trainers and other athletes will assist you and be there to support and challenge you. No matter your fitness level, all athletes will do the same workout, provided by CrossFit of Naperville. But we will make certain that you are properly scaled to see the most benefit from these workouts. It is not commonly known, but the regular person and the elite athlete can benefit from similar workout program. It is the manner in which it is scaled that allows it to be beneficial and effective to all.
The best part about coaching CrossFit is celebrating alongside people when they accomplish things they did not think were possible, achieve goals and transform their fitness.

New students typically attend a two week elements class to ensure they are comfortable and capable of performing the exercises safely. The classes are typically group sessions, however, individual sessions are available upon request.
Our training staff has gone through certification with CrossFit and have been coaching athletes for several years.
