How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching camps while in college. I fell in love with the growth in young individuals. Got more involved with coaching after college doing 1-on-1 lessons, coaching travel league teams, and a varsity HS team for 3 years.
Transitioned careers from physical therapy to personal training full time. Started working with all age groups.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages. Men & Women & kids.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure YOUR educated in the process. Knowing "how" and "why" your taking certain steps will not only help your adherence to the program and better results, but will make it sustainable for the long haul.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do you have physical limitations? (Ie back issues, lack of shoulder mobility, injury, etc)
What limits your availability? (Kids, work, travel..)
What is your budget? (Personal training is very effective, but is an investment).
