Your Own Fit
About
We have structured our business in such a way that we make fitness accessible to all. Our goal is to ensure that anyone who wants to live healthier has that opportunity. We are available to all our clients on an as needed basis outside of the training sessions. Reaching your goal is just as important to us as it is to you!
We have over seven years of experience helping people reach their goals - losing weight, building strength, increasing flexibility, cleaning up their diet, etc. In addition, the two owners (Amy and Donna) have lost over 100 pounds themselves.
All of our trainers are certified, trained in CPR/AED, and insured. We train in your home and outdoors.
Check out our website and reviews. We would love to work with you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start by meeting the client in a public location to discuss goals, explain how we can assist them in reaching those goals, and make recommendations for a training schedule.
From here, we give the client time to make sure they want to proceed (we don't expect on the spot decisions!). If they decide to proceed, we schedule sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Amy: ISSA Personal Trainer certificate, NAFC Nutrition Coach certificate
Donna: NAFC Personal Trainer Certificate
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We have per session rates that are collected monthly, before service for that month begins. The session fees vary based on multiple variables: session length number of sessions per month, and length of commitment.
How did you get started teaching?
Having both been overweight ourselves, we know the struggles and hard work it takes to reach weight loss goals. Health and fitness have become very important to each of us and we seek to share that passion with others to help them reach their goals.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Meet the trainer in person. Making sure you like the trainer is important. Make sure the trainer is certified and insured. Also be wary of anyone charging super low rates - it's likely they are not certified.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I committed to making changes? You cannot expect to see amazing results in month - it takes time. If you're not committed to stick to it, your wasting your time and ours.
Also, ask yourself why... Why do I want to _______________________ (lose 20 pounds, strengthen my core, increase my flexibility). Knowing your "why" will help you develop a plan for reaching your goals.
