FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Depending if they will be part of a group class or doing a one-on-one lesson.

It will also depends on their experience whether they've handled a firearm before or not.  We teach from complete novices to advance level shooters.  No two students are alike and we customize each students plan based on their needs.

In group lessons, we have lesson plans designed for that. They are very much standard...geared to impart the material to a broader audience.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We are college educated...who happened to be passionately about firearms and tactics.  We have instructors with military and law enforcement experience.

Our credentials range from NRA Certification, IALEFI, MCOLE, IDPA, etc.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

You are more than welcome to check our website for the classes, training and pricing structure.

You can contact us if you require private individualized instruction and we can discuss the fees based on what you need and your experience.

How did you get started teaching?

I've always enjoyed teaching and watching students perform well. It started a while ago, when I corrected a shooter at a range who was miserably missing a target at 7 yards. After explaining to him the proper shooting fundamental and demonstrating it, he was able to hit the bullseye on the target.  He was so impressed, he asked me if I can teach him and a few of his buddies.  I agreed...and that's how it started.  From him and a few of his buddies to doing group classes with 73 students.  So, we are experience in doing small to large classes and training.

What types of students have you worked with?

We've work from novices (with no gun handling experience whatsoever) to advance level shooters.

We've taught former military pesonelle to law enforcement.

From everyday, ordinary citizen to a more seasoned, well experienced shooter runs the range of our students.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Doing a Gun Safety lessons to a bunch of kids at a scouting event.  Plus, we got to helped supervise  them as they shoots their 22 rifles, as well as their long bows.   It was a fun filled day for the kids...and we enjoyed being part of it.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

First, make sure that they have the proper credentials.

Second, they are reasonable in their fees.

Third, they are personable and friendly. Call them first and see how they are over the phone with you.

Fourth, they are willing to work with you as far time, distance, lesson, etc.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

1.  If they offer the service that you want to learn?  Are they credentialed or experienced on what you want to learn?  Can they provide a reference if possible?

2.  What's the pricing?

3.  Are they willing to work with you in time, location, price, lesson plan, etc.  Based this on what you want to learn and what you are willing to do to attain that goal.
