Hello...my name is Scott and I'm an indepenedent Personal Trainer working out of multiple gyms in the east metro area. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force where I served as a Fitness Specialist. In addition, I worked with student athletes at the University of St. Thomas as a Weight Room Supervisor. Finally, as a Personal Trainer for Golds Gym, I trained individuals who desired to lose weight, increase energy and stamina, as well as add strength through increased lean body mass. I will use my lifelong passion for health and fitness to motivate, encourage and inspire you. I have had the unique experience of training many individuals over the years from all walks of life. I've enjoyed working hand in hand with student athletes, career oriented professionals, as well as the elderly. Helping my clients achieve their fitness goals is what brings me the most satisfaction as a trainer.
I have been training with Scott Schilling with Fitness Quest twice a week for more than 2 years. He has an excellent training style. He listens to me to understand what I want to achieve and then helps me to achieve my goals both during training sessions as well as through informational emails. He works the whole body varying the exercises to make sure all my muscles are exercised. He changes up the routine making our sessions interesting. He challenges me and at the same time provides positive encouraging feedback.
When I first walked into a gym I was intimidated by the huge array of exercise equipment. When I was offered a one hour free session with Scott I gladly accepted. By the end of that session I was convinced that I would not succeed on my own. I knew that without Scott's motivation and more knowledge of the equipment and how my body would would react to stress, I would give up on my own. By signing up with Scott for 3 months I was sure that I would commit myself to him so I would not let him down. After three months I had a good knowledge of the equipment and I had noticeable results. I lost over 20 pounds and went from a 38 inch waist to a 34. Scott was always flexible with scheduling, motivating me to push myself and just a very likable man. Thank you Scott, you changed my life.

I have been training with Scott for two years now. I was impressed with his approach to physical fitness from the start. Scott assessed my goals and physical condition at that time and laid out a plan for me to work towards those goals. Scott has a friendly approachable personality, and I look forward to our sessions. He always has a new approach that gives variety to my work outs. It's never the "same old routine". He's encouraged me to look at my diet, and by making some small alterations in what I eat, I'm actually eating more often now then I did before and have lost body fat and gained lean mass. I believe Scott would be a great match for anyone at any level of fitness--whether you just want to climb a flight of stairs without catching your breath or you've hit a plateau on your way to the Olympics.
