What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First the client contacts me and we set up a time for our first session. Our first session we discuss the clients goals and time frame for achieving their goals. Then we perform a fitness, postural, and kinetic chain assessment so we can develop the proper exercise prescription.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Behavior Change Modifaction Specialist, and Group Personal Training Specialist.
I have over 20 years experience as a Personal Trainer and Health and Wellness Coach. In that time I have helped hundreds of people achieve their goals, feel great, and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have single session rates and package rates for one-on-one personal training and group personal training. Please contact me for details.
How did you get started teaching?
I lost 70 pounds and have been living a healthy lifestyle ever since. I know how great it feels to be fit and healthy and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others so they can achieve the same.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with weight loss clients, athletes, post rehab patients, fitness enthusiasts, and people seeking to increase their quality of life.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently helped a client lose 120 pounds! Within a year they went from being unhealthy and on numerous medications to being fit, off the meds, and most importantly they feel great and have a positve outlook on life.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the trainer is certified through a reputable organization, has experience, and liability insurance.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are you ready to committ? You can have all the goals and intentions, but unless you are willing to make the committment to change you will not progress.
