About
Does the thought of going to the gym intimidate you because you don't know what to do? Do you have an idea of what to do, but getting there is the issue? Find yourself hitting a plateau, whether that be related to strength training, weight loss/management, or nutrition?
I grew up in the small town of Plain City, OH and went to Jonathan Alder high school. I earned my Bachelor’s of Sport Industry at The Ohio State University where I was involved with intramural sports, and their recreational sports program.
My BATTLE: I was always known as “the skinny kid,” having a small frame naturally with very little muscle/body fat. As a junior in high school, I weighed roughly around 115 lbs. I joined the local YMCA my junior year of high school, and starting playing basketball every day after school with the occasional lift, although lacking a disciplined diet/workout plan, leading to no results.
I soon developed the desire to put on muscle, and committed to a meal plan, while experimenting and eventually finding the right exercises that I both enjoyed and found effective for my body type. Within a year I had put on 40lbs of muscle, became stronger mentally and physically, and developed a passion for fitness. Today I am 170lbs, and feel like my best self (Although I will never be complacent with my goals)
I play in basketball, and volleyball leagues competitively and have a passion for fitness. I'm also a huge LOTR/Harry Potter fan and love playing video games in my free time.
Spending so many hours in a gym environment (12+ years) and learning and testing new exercises, dealing with and finding ways to work around injuries all helped me to realize there is not one single path towards a healthy lifestyle or your dream body.
Rather, our bodies are all different and unique, as well as our interests. Injuries, goals, etc. however big or small can be obstacles that we can overcome with the right approach and a willingness to learn and try new things.
I have had success with all ages, fitness levels, and body types and we have crushed fitness and nutrition goals together and would love to find the best path for you by building confidence inside and outside of the gym.

I love the progression of the mindset change on working out where my clients become addicted to the feeling of setting that new PR (personal record) and seeing people reach new heights mentally and physically they never thought possible.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will take a new client through a free assessment to see muscular imbalances, define injuries and limiting factors, and discover the best fit to get them the results they desire, based around their body type and lifestyle.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Ohio State, with a degree in Sport Industry with minors in business and communication. I am NCCPT Certified and working towards obtaining further education everyday that will keep my training fresh and up to date with research. I have lived the healthy lifestyle over 11+ years and have seen massive improvements in my athleticism, strength, muscle mass and size, all while utilizing multiple methods of training while working through injuries.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

- Private Facebook Group Access
- Goal Setting and Results
- In person training (Or Online training- 15 minute phone call 1x per week and 24/7 texting)
- Workouts Available on Off Days from Full Workout Programming Designed to keep you healthy and fit long-term
How did you get started teaching?
I have experience at a big box gym where I trained and adapted my programming to all types of clients, with various needs and schedules.
What types of students have you worked with?
Moms, Dads, Students, Athletes, everything in between for body fat loss, muscle building, athletic performance and injury prevention.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my clients, Jaron has seen decreases in body fat, missed workouts, and has added muscle mass, all over the span of 8 months. He has created a lifestyle and not tracked a single calorie, instead we have implemented daily habits towards a healthy lifestyle and getting past battles he faces daily.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a coach that is dedicated and actually cares towards helping you make a lifestyle change, with an emphasis on form and accountability. A full workout program should be implemented and you should be pushing yourself to do things you have not done before, only way to reach a new you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are long term results my goal? Am I ready to commit myself and give 100% even on days when I am not feeling it? At the very least I will show up and complete the workouts on those days I do not feel like it. Do I want to make a REAL change that will be sustained for life, or am I in this for a quick fix? What has, and has not worked for me in the past with my fitness?
